Role: Physician Contracting Representative
Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL
Are you a fit?
Must be a problem solver, with the ability to negotiate and manage successful provider relationships. You should be intelligent, aggressive and experienced in provider contracting and dealing with physicians. Risk contract experience is desirable, though not a requirement.
Assignment Capsule
As a physician contract rep, responsibilities include managing network needs, interacting with the provider community, and negotiating contracts. You will also ensure a competitive network, helping facilitate the sales force's efforts to penetrate new markets and develop new business opportunities.
- Negotiate high-volume, transactional-style physician contracts
- Function as the point-of-contact for on-going contractual and service issues as required by providers
- Facilitate provider education to increase familiarity and satisfaction with Humana's systems and strategies
- Create trend analyses and summaries for future decision-making
- Interface with marketing to align contract and business needs
- Set targets and priorities to meet national and market-specific requirements.

Role Essentials
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance or a related field PREFERRED
- Progressive experience in managed care contracting and/or provider relations
- Proficiency in analyzing, understanding and communicating financial trends and reports
- Excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Access
Role Desirables
- Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field
Reporting Relationships
You will report to a Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Operating Officer.
